Common sense and good judgement matter

When I entered the race for city council, several of the local newspapers asked me why. I said that there were four open positions and only four people running and that one of the candidates has two newspaper stories about him that demonstrated extreme poor judgement and lack of common sense.

I will let Ken Hoffman's story in the Houston Chronicle speak for itself.  You can watch Hoffman's video of the incident.

The other story about George Boehme was about the incident last fall in his restaurant where he sold alcohol to a minor. According to recent news reports, Boehme has delayed his day in court 10 times. What is there to hide?

Common sense and good judgement matter. West University Place has a fine record of good government administered by our citizens. It was and is my opinion that the voters needed an alternative to George Boehme.

  1. "George Boehme's Tree Pruning Service" - Interesting to see how he also stood under the limb he was cutting.

  2. A new house was built next door to my bungalow. The detached garage was so close to the property line, one side was constructed on my side. This was done while I was at work. When I came home, I always had a mess in my backyard. I felt like I had an obligation to not complain. I also had to pay for drains after the thing was built higher than mine. I've moved, but I would be very nervous about buying anything now in West U especially if there is a chance something new will be built next door. West U doesn't seem to have any set rules about what can or cannot be built.I know you and your family must be confused by the hostility of some people. They are probably angry about everything all the time.

  3. The wire Councilman Boehme cut appears to be too low to be an electrical wire. If I didn't know that these two gentlemen are both pillars of the community and believe in truth, justice and the American way, I would wonder about the authenticity of the event. It should be on the Funniest Home Videos TV show.
